I could transform the world and become a billionaire. Those words might sound crazy or delusional, but I know they are accurate.
I watched a Frontline documentary on Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, and his enormous wealth. Many opinions are held about him and Amazon, but his example mattered to me. I might use my billions differently as I would transform the world differently.
Fifty years ago, when I first read "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill, I was struck by the phrase, "Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe it can achieve." But it took me years to embrace what he meant about having a burning desire, for I didn't know at the time I did. But I do.
When I heard about the beginning of Bezo's career, I noticed similarities to my life. Jeff had that never give up attitude I've maintained my entire life. He often also failed as I had, and he saw it as being a good thing. It certainly does build character and resilience.
And when he told others of his crazy idea to start selling books, some laughed and thought he was crazy. I've had many of those experiences, even from my family.
When I discovered I did possess that burning desire referred to by Hill, I began on my journey. I wanted a program that would allow people to change their lives, transform and become successful. I knew I had the experience because I had suffered so much throughout my life and somehow always found a way to rebound, recover, or heal whatever was presented to me or showed up in my life. I did things that defied medical science.
About six years ago, I felt it was time to begin that path. I called my work and program Overcoming Everything - a Self-Guide to Empowerment. Whenever I mentioned that title to anyone, I was told it would never see because no one would believe that. I didn't understand that and would say, "but I did that!" But I was talked out of it and got rid of the URL I'd purchased. Here are some of the podcasts I recorded at the time.
Yet like Bezos, I don't give up. So I changed the name to "Empowerment Made Simple." I put together some material for the course and received great results and feedback from those who have used the material. I did a podcast interview last Saturday for one of my clients who used that material to start her business and become a coach and a podcast host.
But then the world changed, and in 2020 I started to move in a new direction, and I discovered how valuable that was when I listened to a class from my favorite physicist, Brian Greene. It was called "Space, Time, and Einstein with Brian Greene."
One of the points Brian referenced about Einstein was his ability to look at things in a new way. I had done that my entire life, but I didn't think it was my genius; I just thought I was nuts. When Greene explained simultaneity, a word I didn't know, I knew I wasn't crazy but a visionary.
As I began to study our changing world, I diagnosed the problem and recognized I had the cure. The only difficulties anyone encounters in their lives result from not knowing who they are. When you place billions of people worldwide not understanding their worth, value, and importance, we have billions of people feeling lost, impoverished, and resorting to crime, theft, power grabs, or anything else that might cause them to feel worthy.
I always thought I was close to having that solution many years ago when I moved through my anger. I understood I was only angry at myself because of something I thought I couldn't change. I thought the same must be valid for others. But I wasn't entirely done yet.
Yes, I had purged my anger, but I still had my fear. It had been my lifelong companion. I published a book in 2019, which was quite cathartic, but it wasn't gone until last week. I woke up, and before getting out of bed, I noticed I didn't have fear or that typical sense of dread.
I knew I had achieved my goal. But I wasn't done because the other part of if I could transform the world was more challenging. After all, I would first have to convince others. I know it could happen, and our world is changed, but getting people to believe it was another.
A year ago, I made an offer that you could transform your life in a month for $249, and I guaranteed the results. People laughed, as they did with Jeff. I knew they would not be totally transformed, but I did want to know the phenomenal impacts. Which they were, and that's when I knew it needed to be a year-long to assure total transformation because then they would be on the road to self-actualization.
The other part of if I will become a billionaire depends on what I choose to do. I watched how Bezos expanded and utilized more and more technology to do so. It is challenging to get those who have lived with a limited mindset to believe they could change, especially when you are not asking for a lot of money.
I struggled with that, a dilemma I will resolve this weekend. I know wealthy people understand the value of investing in themselves, and billionaires know there is always more they can do, which is why Richard, Jeff, and Elon took to space travel.
There is no problem a client might bring to me that I could not offer them guidance to the solution as there is little I haven't experienced in my life, hence the original title I wanted to use. When I was thirty-five, I was guiding one of those millionaires through the challenges of his lie. So I know there is a market, but my spiritual self wants me to help more people as I know that will make a more significant impact in the world.
I don't have that much time, though, as I'll be 72 in November. I want more people to have my fountain of youth, also mindset.
All my work these years allowed me to develop a philosophy, and I discovered my purpose in the world was to marry science, spirituality, and human potential to aid my evolution and that of the world.
I can't see imperfection in any human. I know every soul born has purpose and worth. They only need to know how to uncover and own it, for that is their authentic self, and God gave them that. I have the tool.
In love and light,
